YOUR MISSION: EMPOWER others to make an IMPACT, & CHANGE the world.
October 7 and Simchat Torah:
Embracing Joy and Grief at the Same Time

Elul is the Jewish month of reflection, personal growth, and preparation for the High Holidays. The Elul challenge invites participants to engage in daily Jewish learning, self-improvement, and acts of kindness, drawing inspiration from our Jewish heritage.

This initiative is more than just a campaign; it’s a movement that fosters solidarity and Jewish pride through education and ideas. Our mission is to unite all Jews over common core values, and to provide the tools to fight antisemitism and advocate for Israel. Together we can make sure that distractions like politics and the upcoming election do not divide us or deter us from this mission.

The High Holidays are fast approaching, and this year October 7 falls out three days after Rosh Hashanah. Two weeks after Yom Kippur will be Simchat Torah, the day on the Jewish calendar that we observe the yahrtzeit of the many people who were murdered. The holiday will mark a year since this terrible tragedy, and Jewish people everywhere will be searching for the strength to celebrate while mourning the colossal losses as a community.

It is more important than ever to stand together and advocate for our values. May the memory of those we lost and the resilience of our Jewish global community during this sacred time be a powerful reminder of the importance of unity and strength.

The October 7 massacre was a powerful wake up call to Jews everywhere that something is very wrong with the world today.

The subsequent dramatic rise in antisemitism, the daily onslaught of maligning rhetoric and gross disinformation regarding the war between Hamas and Israel, and general anti-Zionist propaganda are stark reminders of the many challenges that the global Jewish community continues to face.

We cannot afford to wait another moment to act. With the fate of the world at stake, the time to shift the tide is now.

We must be willing to use our platforms and circles of influence, to actively build strong bridges with others and to engage them through education and advocacy.

It is up to the exceptional people among us who have the courage to do so to inspire and empower others to do the same.

In doing so, we honor the memory of all those lost and stand firm in our commitment to the core Jewish and Western values of justice, equality, and above all human dignity upon which a good society depends.

If we want to create a more inclusive and tolerant society and a better world, we must work together as a community to be the change we want to see in our future.

With the fate of the world at stake, the time to shift the tide is now. We cannot afford to wait another moment to act.
